Mark Ferguson

Mark is a dedicated Father, Christian, and Family man. He was raised in the city of New Orleans and from an early age recognized the importance of affordable housing, safe neighborhoods and education. Locally he attended Holy Ghost Catholic school and church, St. Augustine high and then Howard University in Washington, DC.

His first measure of service was to his church as an Alter server and later his Country in military service. This combat veteran’s leadership ability was recognized early from experiences and successes during deployment as a U.S. Army NCO. Later this decorated disabled veteran again found success in several roles in the Healthcare Industry.

While in medical sales for Sulzer Orthopedics, Mark succeeded as a Total Joint Implant Sales Representative and Clinical Specialist. He managed high dollar inventory and budgets, assisted Orthopedic surgeons in surgical planning and technical support during surgery.

For over the last 15 years his role has been as a member of numerous surgical teams “scrubbing and assisting” on surgeries such as Cardiac, Robotic, and Transplants just to name a few. Each of these past roles has taught him vital skills and given him hands-on experience in project and organizational management of complex systems, sensitive medical equipment culminating in high achievement outcomes.

He is once again called to service. This time to provide leadership in addressing housing issues. He will provide direct oversight for land acquisitions, site preparation, financing and planning of new construction, and rehabilitation projects.
